As part of our Service Department, you’ll help ensure every KIT homeowner continues to experience the quality and craftsmanship our homes are known for.
Position Overview This is a full-time travel position requiring up to 10–12 days on the road at a time .
The Home Service Construction Warranty Technician performs warranty and service work on KIT homes across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
The ideal candidate has a background in construction or remodeling, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing KIT professionally in the field.
Travel to customer home sites to complete warranty and service repairs.
Perform skilled construction work including:
Trim and finish carpentry, cabinetry, flooring (laminate, vinyl, tile)
Drywall, tape, texture, painting, siding, roofing
Window and door repairs, basic plumbing and electrical tasks
Communicate clearly with homeowners and internal departments.
Document service work, materials, and customer interactions.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Required:
Minimum 2 years of construction or remodeling experience.
Proficient in carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel extensively (10–12 days at a time).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
Must pass background check and drug test.
Dependable attendance; must be able to work occasional Saturdays or overtime as needed.
Preferred:
Experience with manufactured housing or warranty work.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Competitive Pay: $30.00+/hr. DOE + Daily Per Diem + Paid Travel
