The Lower Platte North Natural Resources District is seeking two summer interns for the summer of 2026. The position will begin in May and run until the start of the fall semester of school.
Work will be conducted from the NRD’s headquarters located at 1616 Co, Road 17, Wahoo, Nebraska. A district vehicle is provided to perform work related activities.
Five T-shirts and a cap with the District logo will be provided as uniforms to each summer employee.
Main job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
(May & June) ─ Operations and Maintenance Department
(July & August) ─ Water Department
A 40-hour work week is guaranteed with work hours from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour (this may be adjusted).
Work situations involve outdoor conditions of high heat and humidity. Exposure to dust, pollen and insects will also be encountered.
Individuals with interests in natural resources and water resources are encouraged to apply. Employment preference is given to college students with natural resources, water resources, environmental science, or a related major.
