Pay Range: $48.29 — $65.06 per hour

Pay Transparency:  The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:  The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of their own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for his/her own professional advancement. 

The RN is responsible for identifying safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. They are responsible for knowledge of the patient population served and accountable for the appropriate delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.  They will act in the capacity of preceptor of charge when needed, communicate effectively, and collaborate with nurses and other patient care providers. The RN is an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team member integrating safety, quality and experience of care while individualizing the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs when providing care. The RN is required to actively participate in performance improvement activities. Other essential duties as required. The Noninvasive Cardiology RN encompasses Cardiac Rehab and/or Stress Testing. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program, Current New Jersey RN License.
  • 2+ years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care required.
  • 2+ years direct Cardiac or Non-Invasive Cardiac Experience preferred. 
  • EKG, BLS via the American Heart Association, and ACLS Certification.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet the required response time for call shifts.

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Day Shift, On Call Required

Essential Functions:

  • The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of his/her own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others in the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resources and programs available.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
  • The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team manager, who utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs.
