Hours: 36 hours per week;Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.This position is an on-site position in San Diego, CA and requires in-person attendance to perform the essential functions of the job.

Pay Rate: $33.12 to $34.72 per hour,depending on experience

Education/Experience :A Bachelors degree indata analysis, health information analysis, health systems management, or similar degree and/or minimum one year experience working in data analysis/quality improvementrequired. Experience working in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

As a QI Data Specialist, you will

  • Collect, organize, analyze business/clinical/functional outcomes and service data.
  • Review data pulled from the Electronic Health Record and other applicable sources for accuracy.
  • Support ongoing tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of outcomes using established tools and templates.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of dashboards, tables, and charts to report outcomes data.
  • Track and monitor program compliance with QI and safety reporting elements. Provide feedback and training to program staff on reporting elements as needed.
  • Maintain continuous monitoring of adherence to CRF, CCL, County, State, Federal and other regulatory standards.
  • Work as part of the QI Data Analysis Team.
  • Perform other QI duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Qualifications & Skills

  • One year of experience working with data entry and/or analysis from a variety of databases/sources.
  • Previous experience with quality improvement software and electronic health records strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within San Diego County Behavioral Health System of Care and knowledge of Cerner and SmartCare (SD County BHS Electronic Health Record) strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of analytical, computational, organizational, and communication (both written and verbal) skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • An intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. Experience using statistical software and Access is a plus.
  • Able to pass criminal/background clearance.

We provide management support services for all of the mental health programs of Community Research Foundation.Our Central Office consists of Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, Real Estate and Facilities, Quality Improvement, and Research & Development.

Our Quality Improvement Department responds to and tracks incidents, complaints, outcomes, and reporting elements; evaluates medical records and billing; provides consultation and risk management analysis; provides clinical and documentation training; and develops/implements CRF policies and procedures and process improvements.
