Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $23.42 - $24.89 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.

NATURE OF WORK
As a member of the Culture & Engagement Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture, individuals in this position perform work in a team-based environment supporting the Division’s mission and vision along with the goals, philosophies, and initiatives of the Culture & Engagement Manager.
As a member of the Town of Windsor Museums team, individuals in this position make art, culture, history, and nature accessible to the public through innovative and engaging programs. The Museum Education Specialist supports all aspects of the development and facilitation of museum programming, events, and informal education projects. The Town of Windsor Museums comprise the Windsor History Museum, the Art & Heritage Center, The Eaton House, and the Historic Halfway Homestead.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Individuals work under the direct supervision of the Museum Education Coordinator to carry out assigned duties, functions, roles, and projects in both routine and complex circumstances.

The individual in the Recreation Specialist - Museum Education role is assigned specific assignments, job duties, scope, authority, responsibility, roles, and requirements as determined by the town, department, division, and pursuant to laws, regulations, and practices. The physical requirements of this position are considered Medium Work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
The employee may be subject to the following environmental conditions: inside, such as an office setting; outside, with little to no effective protection from weather; subject to noise.
