Job Description

Muslim Center of New York Junior High School seeking an experienced and dedicated School Principal to lead and oversee all aspects of our Islamic school community.

The Principal will be responsible for managing daily school operations, supporting students and staff, overseeing the curriculum, and maintaining a strong academic and Islamic learning environment. Responsibilities include supervising teachers, guiding student academic performance, supporting standardized test preparation and high school admissions, and working closely with parents and the school community.

The ideal candidate should have prior leadership or administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills are essential. Candidates should also have an understanding of both Islamic and secular education and a passion for student growth and development.

Qualifications

• Prior leadership or administrative experience required
• Experience in education or school settings strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead staff and manage school operations effectively
• Commitment to academic excellence and Islamic values
• A secondary degree in education or related fields is required / a post-graduate degree in education or relevant fields is preferred

• Ability to operate and monitor security camera systems
• Experience managing access control and building entry systems
