Job Title: Injection Mold Set-Up Operator

Job Description:

The Injection Mold Set-Up Operator is responsible for setting up and operating injection molding machines and related equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic parts. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove molds using appropriate tools and lifting equipment.
• Connect auxiliary devices such as temperature controllers, dryers, and loaders.
• Verify proper alignment and secure clamping of machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) according to specifications.
• Start up and shut down machines following standard operating procedures.
• Inspect parts during production for compliance with quality standards.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate production records.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Injection Mold Operating and Set-Ups.
• Proficiency in mold changeovers.
• Capability to perform first piece inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Arburg Injection molding machinery is highly preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
