Full-Time skilled high end Housekeeper needed in West Chester

Location: West Chester / South Kennett Square, PA
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week M-F 9AM-5PM (flexible on scheduled hours)
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 DOE + Benefits

A private family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to oversee the care and maintenance of their beautiful 6,000 sq. ft. secondary residence located in the West Chester / South Kennett Square area. The family is not in residence full-time, so the ideal candidate must be highly self-motivated, flexible, and capable of independently managing the home’s cleaning schedules and overall presentation.

This is a long-term opportunity for a polished professional who understands high-end household standards, takes pride in their work, and can provide true white-glove service.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of a large private residence (6,000 sq ft)
• Create and maintain organized cleaning schedules, including zoning the home appropriately for routine and seasonal cleaning
• Conduct detailed deep cleans while the family is out of residence
• Properly care for high-end furnishings, fine art, antiques, delicate surfaces, and oriental rugs
• Understand appropriate cleaning products, techniques, and what items require special handling or should not be disturbed
• Handle household laundry and linen care
• Make beds and maintain guest-ready presentation standards at all times
• Maintain household inventory for toiletries and personal supplies, including skincare products, shampoos, and other household essentials for the principal
• Ensure the home remains impeccably organized and fully stocked
• Work collaboratively with the House Manager, who is the only other household staff member
• Adjust schedule as needed when the family is in residence

Schedule & Flexibility

• Standard schedule is generally Monday through Friday
• Typical hours may fall between approximately 9:00/10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility
• The family primarily visits during the fall and spring seasons
• When the principals are in residence, occasional weekend availability may be required
• Saturdays may include light housekeeping and bed preparation for guests
• Weekend coverage is generally limited to 6–8 hours when needed
• Sundays are rarely required
• The family may visit for a weekend and then not return for several weeks, so flexibility and adaptability are essential

Compensation & Benefits
