Who you are  

You’re a hands-on storyteller who lives in the timeline. You’re eager to learn from experienced creatives, take direction well, and stay organized across a lot of moving pieces. This is a part-time (up to 25 hours per week), non-exempt paid summer internship based in San Diego, working closely with our in-house videographer and the broader marketing team. You must be able to work on on-site basis in San Diego, CA.

What you will be doing  

• Edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form videos for Satechi’s social, product, and brand channels. 
• Collaborate directly with our videographer on shoots — assisting on set, organizing footage, and managing files. 
• Assemble cuts and add transitions, captions, basic color correction, and light motion graphics under the direction of the video team. 
• Source and sync music, sound effects, and voiceover while respecting licensing requirements. 
• Repurpose existing video into platform-optimized formats for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more. 
• Maintain the video asset library, footage archives, and project files so nothing gets lost. 
• Incorporate feedback across review rounds and consistently hit content deadlines. 
• Stay current on video trends, editing techniques, and platform best practices, and bring fresh ideas to the team. 

What we are looking for  

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 
• Working proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. 
• A reel, portfolio, or sample edits that show off your editing ability. 
• Familiarity with social-first video formats and aspect ratios (vertical, square, horizontal). 
• Strong attention to detail, solid organization, and the ability to take and apply creative direction. 
• A reliable communicator who can juggle multiple projects and deadlines. 
• Bonus: Adobe After Effects / motion graphics, color grading, or sound design experience.

Compensation  

The pay range for this position is $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
