Bookkeeper | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hudsonville that are seeking skilled Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
• Process accounts receivable, issue invoices, and monitor customer payments for manufactured goods.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification of financial data.
• Assist with inventory valuation and the tracking of raw materials and finished goods costs.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, preparing preliminary financial statements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Direct experience with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and job costing in a manufacturing setting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and manage month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with basic cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Understanding of manufacturing-specific financial processes (e.g., production orders, WIP tracking).
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting related to production.
