Restaurant Operations Administrator

Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan

We are an upscale Italian restaurant seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Restaurant Operations Administrator to support our management team and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our restaurant.

This role is ideal for someone with prior restaurant administrative experience who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in organization, accuracy, and maintaining high standards. We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and willing to take ownership of both administrative responsibilities and the overall flow of restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

● Verify employee timecards and process weekly payroll using Toast Payroll.

● Onboard all new employees and ensure all required hiring documentation is completed, filed, and maintained in compliance with company and legal requirements.

● Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files.

● Scan, organize, and file vendor invoices.

● Monitor invoices and notify management of upcoming payment deadlines.

● Manage and maintain front-of-house inventory, including office supplies, uniforms, guest amenities, and operating supplies.

● Place orders with approved vendors and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

● Act as an extension of the management team by observing front-of-house operations, reinforcing service and presentation standards, and addressing or escalating issues as appropriate to ensure a consistently exceptional guest experience.

● Provide administrative support to the ownership and management team as needed.

● Communicate professionally with employees, vendors, and guests.

Qualifications

● Previous restaurant or hospitality administrative experience required.

● Experience with Toast Payroll.

● Experience processing payroll and onboarding new employees.

● Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

● Professional, dependable, and able to work independently.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Spanish language is a plus.

● NYC restaurant experience strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

● $25/hour, approximately 20 hours per week.

● Flexible work schedule, except some time allocated on Tuesday is required to run payroll
